Each piece is cut to size, tempered after cutting for strength, and finished with smooth seamed edges to remove sharpness. Available in clear, grey, or bronze, this replacement glass is designed for many direct-vent gas fireplaces and other non-heater-rated fireplace door applications.
Tempered glass is approximately seven times stronger than standard glass and is rated for temperatures up to approximately 400°F. It is durable for approved applications but is not resistant to thermal shock. Fireplace doors should never be closed on an active burning fire unless specifically approved by the appliance manufacturer.
