Can You Tell Me Your Cutting Tolerance?

Glass cutting is an extremely sensitive and intricate process. It can be done manually or by a precision CNC machine. Depending on the thickness and type of glass (tempered or ceramic), it can be very difficult to cut smaller strips or shapes without breaking the glass. Additionally, the thickness of glass being used in a heating application must meet specific industry standards to avoid shattering or breaking when the application is in use.

The following cutting tolerances apply to our glass products:

• TEMPERED = 1/8", 3/16", 1/4"
• CERAMIC (PYROCERAM) = 3/16"
