Our Vermont Castings gasket replacement kit features a 5/16 inch diameter griddle gasket pre-cut to 50 inches long, and a bottle of clear high temperature gasket adhesive. Bring your stove back to peak performance with this convenient package! The graphite-impregnated fiberglass rope is encased in a stainless steel, wire mesh to withstand temperatures up to 1200°F. It is highly resistant to mildew and moisture absorption. The gasket adhesive comes in a 2 fluid ounce bottle and is a 100% pure sodium silicate formula that does not need heat to reach a full cure. Once set, this adhesive can also withstand aggressive temperatures! This griddle gasket rope is designed to fit any Vermont Castings wood stove.

Preparation:
- Remove old gasket. Thoroughly clean the area.
- Please be sure to wear protective gloves and eye protection during application of this product. Wipe up spills immediately with wet towel.
- To use:
- Remove old gasket. Thoroughly clean the area. Use the included clear Stove Gasket Adhesive to attach the new seal. This product is used not only as the "glue" that holds the gasket in place, but it can also be used to seal minor cracks and pin holes in the stove body.
- For horizontal surfaces: remove door and lay it down flat (horizontally). Apply adhesive to door channel, then press your new gasket firmly into the adhesive.
- For vertical surfaces: apply adhesive to gasket and work material into the fiberglass before pressing the gasket firmly into the door channel.
- Allow adhesive to dry 24 hours before firing.
