When the fireplace door is larger than the opening of the fireplace, measure the width of the opening at the top and again at the bottom. We need the exact minimum width. Next, measure the height of the opening from the hearth (where the door will sit) to either the bottom of the lintel bar or the bottom of the finishing material (brick, marble, etc). We need the exact minimum height.

The Ardmore fireplace door can be installed very easy. The only tool you need is a Phillips head screwdriver and a level. Installation is straightforward with the two lintel clamps that attach to the angle iron across your fireplace opening. On each side at the bottom of the frame you have two sets of screws to hold the frame in place. Insulation for an air seal install is provided.
