3 Inch Gasket Wrap | Combustor Gasket

Also known as interam wrap, this 3 inch wide catalytic combustor gasket from Fast Replacement Glass makes the proper seating of your new combustor easier. This universal interam gasket has water particles embedded into the material. When exposed to high heat in the combustor chamber, the gasket swells and releases these particles, which in turn cools down the combustor and prevents your stove from overheating.

Fast Replacement Glass recommends replacing the old gasket along with your combustor. When installing the duo, always allow some room so the combustor and gasket can expand when you have your fire going. If you install your combustor with no visible extra space, it may fracture or cause your stove's components to overheat.

It is also wise to monitor the condition of the interam material periodically and replace it as needed. Since this material is so affordable, you may want to stock up on an extra gasket or two!

REMEMBER:

• Never use combustor gasket for any other woodstove of fireplace applications.
• Never pack your new combustor with any gasket into the combustor housing.
• When heated gasket can double in thickness
• Allow a visible space so the combustor can expand
• Always replace old gasket when you install a new combustor
• Consult owners manual of stove or fireplace if a combustor gasket is needed
• Depending on how often you use your stove, the interam material may need to be replaced more than two or three times annually
• Both canned and uncanned combustors can use this gasket - if your catalytic combustor was wrapped with interam, you need this component!

What size do I need?

• Rectangular Combustor = add the length of all 4 sides together and round up to the next foot.
• Round Combustor = Multiply your diameter by 3.14 and round up to the next foot.
