Description

Make sure your wood stove is performing at its best with our replacement gasket kit! One of the main reasons our heating appliances begin to show signs of less than desireable efficiency is because of worn gaskets that need to be replaced. If you have a Vermont Castings Defiant, Vigilant, Resolute, or Intrepid wood stove, we have the gasket kit you need, complete with 4 pre-cut, pre-measured gaskets guaranteed to fit! Remember to add a tube of A.W. Perkins Wood Stove Cement (see above) for proper installation!

  • AW3440 Kit Includes:
  • 3/16" x 60" long stove door gasket
  • 5/16" x 144" long stove door gasket
  • 1/2" x 52" long stove door gasket
  • 5/16" x 52" long fiberglass rope w/ wire mesh overbraid (Vermont Castings Griddle Gasket)
  • To use:
Remove old gasket. Thoroughly clean the area. Use Wood Stove Gasket Cement to attach the new seal.

  • Adhesive:
We recommend the A.W. Perkins Wood Stove Gasket Cement to adhere the gasket to your stove or insert. This product is used not only as the "glue" that holds the gasket in place, but it can also be used to seal minor cracks and pin holes in the stove body.

It is not recommended that you use a sealant as an adhesive. High temperature silicone and sealants are not meant to be used as an adhesive or to fix your stove or insert.
