Monarch Stove Replacement Parts
Monarch was the trademark name of Malleable Iron Range Company. It was founded in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1896 by A.C. Terrell and Silas McClure. By 1901, the incorporated business owners moved their business to Beaver Dam, Wisconsin and became affiliated with Dauntless Stove Manufacturing (originally of Omaha, Nebraska). Through many triumphs and setbacks and two world wars, the Monarch Company succeeded in manufacturing both cooking and heating appliances. The energy crisis during the 1970s saw the rise of Monarch's wood burning Add-a-Furnace, designed to be supplementary or replacement heat sources. By 1985, the company filed bankruptcy and a new company led the Monarch Company down a path that eventually led to alternative product manufacturing. Monarch was no more by the end of 2003.
