Franklin Cast Products (Old Scandia) Replacement Parts
Much controversy surrounds the Scandia wood stoves by Franklin Cast Products. The Warwick, RI company farmed out the manufacturing aspect of the business to Taiwan in the late 1970s. What happened after this brazen move is still talked about in the wood stove industry. The stoves that were produced under the Scandia model name were illegal copies of other American and European designs. Claiming to be airtight, they were of much lesser quality, albeit extremely decorative in appearance. Scandia stoves were imported to the United States from 1979 until 1984 when the company succumbed to trademark lawsuits and other violations regarding their copied appliances.
Even though Franklin Cast Products is no longer in existence, we can still outfit your old Scandia model with the appropriate gasket, combustor, or custom-cut piece of glass. Franklin Cast also marketed the Concorde Catalytic (one of the first catalytic stoves produced) under Roper, a large American appliance maker. We carry replacement parts for this model as well!
Because the of the large product variety that exists, customers must measure their stove for this custom cut glass to ensure the measurements that we have on file from Frankling Cast Products are accurate. Before you check out with your custom piece, you must realize that this glass is not returnable.
If you don't see your model number listed, not to worry! Just call our experts at 1-888-986-1535 and submit your measurements. We can custom cut a piece of glass to your specifications for an exact fit, or help you find the right gasket or combustor for your heating application!
