Description

The older style Vermont Castings DutchWest wood stoves (pre-1993) are are known for their longevity and minimal upkeep. To keep your beloved heating appliance in prime condition, you'll want to make sure you replace the gasket. By doing this, the new gasket will create a better seal in the door of your DutchWest wood stove, preventing air leaks that reduce its operating efficiency.

This kit comes with 6 pre-cut, pre-measured gaskets that are specific to your older model DutchWest wood stove. Remember to add a tube of A.W. Perkins Wood Stove Cement (see above) for proper installation of your new gaskets!

  • Adhesive:
We recommend the A.W. Perkins Wood Stove Gasket Cement to adhere the gasket to your stove or insert. This product is used not only as the "glue" that holds the gasket in place, but it can also be used to seal minor cracks and pin holes in the stove body.

It is not recommended that you use a sealant as an adhesive. High temperature silicone and sealants are not meant to be used as an adhesive or to fix your stove or insert.
